Fall Festival for the Little Sharks
Event included sunshine, snacks, and lots of giggles!
On Friday, September 18, our youngest Sharks—Pre-K 3 through 1st grade—had a Fall Festival all their own. Once again this year JCDS hosts two festivals: one scaled just right for the little ones, and another coming soon for the bigger kids, with activities that fit each age.
No JCDS celebration is complete without something that bounces. This time the kids had two bounce houses and an inflatable slide shaped like a giant shark’s mouth. (What else would you expect from a school full of Sharks?) They launched themselves in, popped out grinning, and went right back for another turn.

It was a joyful afternoon for the children and a chance for parents to connect with each other while also spending time with their families.
"The Fall Festival was such a wonderful success because of the incredible enthusiasm from our JCDS community," said Associate Director of Development Ashley Cetin. "Seeing our families come together, enjoy the evening, and make memories together is what makes events like this so special."
The weather played along perfectly. Clouds hung around for most of the school day, then the sun broke through just in time, making it a great afternoon to enjoy the outdoor spaces on campus.
And of course there were snacks. Popcorn for the salty crowd, apple slices and caramel dip for the sweet tooth—everyone got a taste of both.

Smiles were everywhere. Sharks of every size had a wonderful time. None of it would have happened without the volunteers who set up, handed out treats, and kept the energy high.
"We are so grateful to our Parents' Association for all of the time, energy, and heart they put into making the Fall Festival such a special event," said Ms. Cetin. "We also want to thank all of the families and volunteers who helped make the evening so much fun!"
