Admissions Process

The admissions review process at Jacksonville Country Day School carefully considers each applicant’s strengths and ability to thrive in our community. Our objective is to ensure students are best placed for success and to provide them with a learning environment where they will develop and grow.

Please note that children entering JCDS must be:
  • 3 years old by September 1 of year entering JCDS to attend Pre-K 3
  • 4 years old by September 1 of year entering JCDS to attend Pre-K 4
  • 5 years old by September 1 of year entering JCDS to attend Kindergarten.
Students must be able to use the bathroom independently and consistently before entering Pre-K 3.

The admissions process includes the completion of an application online, a campus tour for the parents, and a school visit with an on-campus assessment for the student.

We encourage families to allow sufficient time to schedule tours and assessments before our first round of decisions in late February. We will happily accept applications and review candidates throughout the year on a space-available basis.

Campus Tours

Our Admissions Office hosts on-campus tours between prospective parents and a member of our Admissions team. During these scheduled opportunities, you will meet with an admissions officer while viewing  our 19-acre campus and learning more about all that a Jacksonville Country Day School education can mean to your child.

Please complete the inquiry form, or click on the Tour JCDS button.
