After a yearlong search for the right person, Tricia Finkenberg has joined the Jacksonville Country Day School team as a Learning Design and Curriculum Coordinator.
Ms. Finkenberg holds an Ed.M. in educational administration from Harvard University, an MA in Curriculum Design and Teaching from Columbia University, and a BA in Liberal Arts from UC Berkeley. She has been a leader in private education for more than 20 years, most recently at the Academy of the Sacred Heart in New Orleans. Prior to that, she served at the Marymount International School in Italy for 14 years.
She was also the Principal of a Pre-K through 6th grade school in Massachusetts, which was nationally recognized for its experiential curriculum. Ms. Finkenberg is also fluent in Italian and speaks some Spanish. We feel fortunate that Tricia will help guide us on our quest to continue to be known as an educational leader.
“The strength of our curriculum is well known and respected among the independent and public schools our graduates attend. We continually enhance and strengthen our program by designing learning around best practices and what is developmentally appropriate for children. Tricia will help us reach greater potential,” Head of School Pat Walker said.
