Academic Support
The JCDS Academic Support Team provides educational services to strengthen students as they thrive and reach their highest potential. This encompasses individualized academic plans, guided individual and small group instruction, regular progress monitoring, and student advocacy and empowerment.
The team, composed of certified teachers and learning specialists, evaluates students’ personal learning profiles and builds a support plan. They develop strategies with classroom teachers and families to help students build lifelong skills of problem solving, critical thinking, and communication.

- Speech and Language Therapy
- Executive Functioning Coaching
- Specific Learning Support
- Accommodations for Testing
- Subject Support Tutoring
Students requiring extra services may be referred by classroom teachers or arranged at the request of parents.
