Three Alums Make All-Decade First Team

Three alums were named to the Times-Union All-Decade First Team for soccer. Leila Azari ('11),  Chelsea Burns ('09), and Taya Edwards ('11) were selected as three of the top 11 female soccer players in Northeast Florida for the last 10 years.
According to the Times-Union's announcement:

Leila signed with Vanderbilt, where she led the team in assists during her sophomore season. She’s also a two-time All-SEC academic selection.

Chelsea played four seasons with Duke, appearing in the NCAA Tournament all four years and completing her career as a Blue Devils captain. She signed over the summer to play professionally in Europe with the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven, which she has helped to an unbeaten start thus far.

Taya signed with Kentucky and is currently near the conclusion of her junior year with the Wildcats.

We are proud of these former students for their athletic and academic success. They are pursuing their passions and dreaming big!
