Extended Care Afternoon Lead

Job Summary
The Extended Care Afternoon Lead is responsible for the daily program management, logistical support and group supervision of the afternoon extended care program. This position also supports program development in order to maintain a quality program aligned with the mission of the school. The position reports to the Auxiliary Services Manager.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in an extended care environment
  • Experience with group management and logistics
  • Ability to solve problems on demand
  • Current first aid and CPR/AED certifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Extended Care Afternoon Lead will:
  • Communicate effectively with all school stakeholders
  • Perform afternoon running duties as necessary for 4:15, 4:30 and activities
  • Manage running sheets, communicate with instructors 
  • Coordinate, manage, and document student discipline with extended care staff
  • Communicate with parents on student behavior, conduct, and performance
  • Communicate with the Auxiliary Services Manager and administration as necessary
  • Work with the extended care team to complete planning sheets and coordinate necessary supplies and on campus events
  • Maintain student attendance documentation and records
  • Provide engaging activities for extended care classes by collecting planning materials from staff, purchasing necessary supplies, and overseeing implementation
  • Oversee snack inventory and distribution, maintain inventory of supply closet
  • Plan extended care special events; coordinate with internal and external resources/vendors to provide supplemental activities to engage students
  • Ensure extended classrooms are maintained in a safe and clean manner
  • Evaluate programming provided on a regular basis and explore ways to elevate the program
  • Support the school and its mission
  • Perform other duties as assigned by and in support of the Head of School
