Alumni Profile: Chuck Pearce ('94)

“Our family's journey with JCDS started in the 80s when I joined as a Kindergarten student. At that time, the importance of a quality education and nurturing environment were imperative to my parents, as a foundation in my early education. Fast forward twenty years, when my wife and I began to consider schools for our own two children. I knew that I wanted the same level of education and supportive environment that I witnessed while attending the school. I wanted my children to create a sense of community and build lifelong relationships as I had years before.
As we toured the campus in 2012, the memories poured back. Walking through the halls a lot had changed, but the same values and beliefs the school was founded on remained strong over the years and I knew it would be a perfect fit for my children as well.

The connections and relationships that I made at JCDS, which carried through while attending Episcopal High School, are still with me today. Many of those same individuals I attended JCDS with are now business owners, neighbors, and established members of our community. As a local business owner, I often find myself in the same social circles with those familiar faces I attended school with and that are similarly integrated into our community. Personal skills and relationships I’ve made through my school years allowed for deeper business connections now, stronger friendships and an overall sense of community for our family.

Our two sons are greatly enjoying their experiences at the school, hearing them get excited about going to school for the fun of learning and bonding with friends, reassures us that we made the right decision in choosing JCDS. I know that my sons are making connections that will forever shape their future and knowing what JCDS did for me, I have all the confidence these connections will make them better and more successful people in the future."
